New Year! Happy New Blog!

A few new images to start the year, from my first trip to the new modern wing at the Art Institute of Chicago. Just playing with the Leica M4-2 and the BW400CN. A nice film. I like TriX better – but the convenience of lab processing is hard to pass up.

I hope you all have a healthy, happy, and otherwise gorgeous 2010.

I like your photos and I’m a fan of the film as well. I haven’t put a roll of tri-x through a camera in over a year and my Diafine finally gave out. I’ve also really grown to love Ektar for color work. I was down in Chicago in October and took a few shots of the exterior of the new Modern Wing but didn’t make it inside. Next time.
    Happy New Year!

    • Thanks very much Scott! I love the new Ektar. I just wish they’d release it in 4×5 (and start making quickloads again). I still shoot a bunch of TriX, but I have a backlog of over 80 rolls (of personal/street work only!) waiting for me to process at home, so I’m ok with the BW400CN. The tonality is actually pretty nice if you don’t underexpose it.
